Proposal for PCS’s Deployment to Aptos chain

CAKE holders, today we are happy to propose a mainnet deployment to Aptos mainnet!

Since our start, PancakeSwap (PCS) has thrived on BNB Chain, establishing ourselves as the leading DEX, with multiple industry-leading products – Swap, Farms, Pools, IFOs, and many more – and of course, the largest, most engaged, and best community!

Today, we are truly excited to introduce our first native multichain proposal, where CAKE will be deployed on another chain – to deploy PancakeSwap natively to Aptos!

Why Aptos?

After careful analysis, we are proposing to deploy on Aptos for the following reasons:

1️⃣ Aptos is a next generation L1 with low transaction costs, high transaction throughput, and fast transaction speeds, utilizing a novel and developer optimized approach to parallel execution that brings about a number of technical and user improvements (read more here)

2️⃣ Aptos team has deep experience in crypto products, having previously led web3 efforts at Novi (Facebook/Meta’s Crypto Team)

3️⃣ Aptos has a vibrant developer ecosystem with many protocols in the pipeline, of which a large proportion are suitable for PCS partnerships and products

4️⃣ PCS has developed a strong relationship with the Aptos team and has been working directly with them to support our deployment of our various products, including introducing PCS to various projects within the Aptos ecosystem and assisting on Move code deployment with Chefs

Our approach to deployment

We recognize that to bring value to CAKE holders, PCS must become a multichain protocol and succeed on deployed chains.

Therefore, the Kitchen proposes to deploy 4 of its main features (Swap, Farm, Pools and IFO) on Aptos quickly to establish PCS as the leading DEX on Aptos, and to ensure that Chefs can bring PCS’s best features to the Aptos ecosystem.

CAKE will also natively be available on the Aptos blockchain, therefore making it the first time CAKE will be natively available on other chains. The deployment will be done over Q4 as Aptos is a new blockchain and projects which PCS rely upon are gradually being rolled out.

The Kitchen proposes to balance the following considerations in ensuring that CAKE holders on both chains will benefit from the deployment:

🤝 Partnering with bridges and centralized exchanges to ensure CAKE bridging between BNB Chain and Aptos for CAKE holders to participate on both chains

🥞 Incentivizing early adoption with CAKE emissions to attract and expand our userbase on Aptos

✨ Attracting the best projects on Aptos to launch farms, Syrup pools and IFO, while also encouraging these same projects to launch on BNB Chain for benefit of all CAKE holders

📝 Managing CAKE incentives in the middle term to ensure that CAKE inflation is balanced with real revenues and CAKE burn;
